FLETCHER & FORK X ARCH POP-UP SHOP + A TULIP UPDATE

What a week! I am thrilled to share that I have partnered with the extraordinary Laura White in a Winnetka pop-up shop where we have put together a highly curated mix of art, vintage and new home decor, garden pieces and books, tabletop, apothecary, and curiosities. I love how we have melded our collective pieces into what feels like a happy, fresh space to inhabit rather than a store.

More about the shop below, but first—a tulip border update!

The tulips and hyacinth are coming in to their full glory. The Estella Rijnvelds (above, in my garden, and below, on the cover of my favorite book—Flowers by Carolyne Roehm) are slowly emerging.

The Apeldoorn's Elite tulips have exploded.

Feathery Banja Luka and ombré Apeloorn's Elite mingle, above, with long-stemmed solid yellow and solid red blooms (and a few pink interlopers!).

The Rococo parrot tulips (above and below) have been an absolute delight to observe as they've grown.

The small but mighty blue grape hyacinth add great texture and visual contrast to the border. I considered planting the pink variety but they are almost ten times the price, which I could not justify as I planted 700 hyacinth bulbs!

I didn't order pink tulip bulbs but somehow 60 made it into my order. A happy accident! I filled one of our backyard willow-edged garden beds with them as a cutting garden. Their ultra-sturdy, mocha colored stems support the most exquisite, soft pink petals.

Back to the shop!

As soon as I made the decision to partner in the shop, I immediately reached out to my dear friend and uber-talented graphic designer Laura Duggan to create my logo for cards and packaging. I could not be happier with how it turned out.

The green handblown glasses by Kate Civiero of Infinite Glassworks, above, are some of my favorite pieces in the shop. The rainbow of vases and cocktail sets below were made by Kate for the shop as well, and they live beautifully with artist Katie Brickman's bold, bright works on whitewashed wood. Fabulous Austrian bubble sconces flank her Ellsworth diptych.

I firmly believe whoever buys the hand-embroidered Party Zebra cocktail napkins needs these Arch earrings to match.

A cocktail set in sunset hues.

Giant vintage Turkish bread boards hang above vintage how-to greenhouse books, a handmade bee skep, raw Manuka honey, and Sangre de Fruta skincare.

A bright spot in the front of the shop holds a vintage garden tete-a-tete peppered with topiaries. Artist Cassie Buccellato's small and dreamy landscapes hang above.

Artist Susan Bouma's diptych, Untitled, fills the room with glorious, abstract swaths of color. Bruce Macdonald's serene yet luminous barn paintings hang to the left.

Our shop windows just before we took the paper down. I love how well they sit together!

We will are open Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm, through June 15. If you are on the North Shore of Chicago, you must come say hello! The Arch + Fletcher and Fork shop is located at 913 Green Bay Road, Winnetka.
